Bank Sohar recently sponsored a literary event hosted by the Urdu Wing of the Indian Social Club as part of its programme to support the youth, communities and cultural organisations. The event titled, ‘Mushairah’ was organized at the Ministry of Education Auditorium at Wataya and was a celebration of Urdu poets, well known among the Indian diaspora in Oman and abroad.

The Urdu Wing of the Indian Social Club is a non-profitable organization in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. It conducts various cultural and literary events throughout the year such as Mushaira, Ghazal, Quwwali, talk shows and similar events for the Urdu language enthusiasts.
